James is a proactive search agent and recruitment entrepreneur with 20 years’ experience in procuring senior front office and technology professionals within the financial markets. For nearly a decade James has focused his attention on the Electronic and Quantitative Finance markets covering Portfolio Management, Trading, Research and Advanced Technology.

James successfully searches for and secures exceptional systematic and computational finance professionals, and has an exemplary track record of achievement within the industry. James represents a large number of high profile buy-side firms, as well as a number of smaller boutique trading companies across the US, Europe and Asia, and is able to offer candidates career opportunities in a number of major financial centers across the globe.

James Drysdale works on every assignment personally and manages the full recruitment life-cycle, so that each client and candidate is guaranteed the services of a veteran headhunter.




Joe has a twenty year track record in the search and talent acquisition space, operating at Director level since 2005, throughout this period he has specialised in financial services, completing searches for clients on both the buy side and sell side, ranging between AVP and Managing Director level.

His greatest strength is across the buy side for both private and public markets, Joe has worked with globally renowned alternative investment managers placing a range of candidates across investment teams, leadership, plus support and control functions, in London, New York, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong.

In addition to client led mandates he has assisted numerous outstanding individuals that were looking to proactive seek their next career challenge.

Joe remains hands on across all aspects of the recruitment process including client relations, research, long listing, short listing and process management through to conclusion.

Jo Drysdale is primarily responsible for the administrative side of the recruitment process. Jo deals with the day to day running of the London Office and is a valuable point of contact for clients and candidates wanting administrative support above and beyond the offerings usually available within the industry.

Joanna is a qualified lawyer, and prior to joining Winston Fox, worked for ten years at pre-eminent International Law Firm, Reed Smith LLP, as a Commercial Lawyer dealing with high-value investment acquisitions, development projects and the day to day management of large property portfolios. Joanna was listed as a Rising Star in the 2014 edition of the London Super Lawyers Magazine published by the Telegraph, and her legal background is a valuable asset to the Winston Fox team.
