Hiring accomplished and experienced Software Engineer (R&D bias) who has a love of Mathematics, Programming and Distributed Computing for a new and sizeable multi-year project in New York, Chicago, and London. This is for one of the best performing Hedge Funds, ever!

 

This position will be a vital part of a core team responsible for designing, developing and implementing a new mission-critical distributed platform. Core critical systems built using C/C++, with Python on top.In summary, we would like to hire a seasoned engineer with broad SDLC experience, i.e. architecture design, analysis, low-level coding, testing, and implementation. Someone with a passion for modern design and best practice for building proprietary systems, high-performance systems, code and data structure, algorithms, distribution, parallelization, optimization, and innovation.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, architect, development critical server-side components

    Design and architect key areas of the entire platform

  • Work directly with business users and executive stakeholders to ensure clear communication on deliverables.

  • Devise and implement solutions, seeing design through to production.

  • Solving complex optimization problems

 

Talents

  • 5-10 years’ experience working on complex distributed systems

    High proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.

  • Broad SDLC experience/exposure, i.e. architecture design, analysis, low-level coding, testing, and implementation

  • Passion for modern design and best practice when building proprietary systems, high-performance software, code and data structure, algorithms, distribution, parallelization, optimization, and innovation.

  • Strong Computer Science background and academics, both theory and experience.

  • Strong experience in Financial Markets, and in particular Treasury Systems or Treasury related technology

  • Analytical problem-solving, ambition, drive, strong work ethic and motivation

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and experience working with business users and/or executive teams.
